Introduction

NHS Dudley is part of the National Health Service and is responsible for improving the health and wellbeing of everyone who lives in Dudley.

We work closely with other NHS trusts, local GPs, dentists, opticians and pharmacists, the local authority and voluntary sector organisations to ensure people in Dudley receive the right healthcare, in the right place and at the right time.

Each year we get a set amount of money to buy services that meet the health needs of local people. This year we have have around £500 million to spend on ensuring everyone in Dudley has the best standard of care when they need it. The process of buying health services is called commissioning.

Dudley Primary Care Trust is part of the Black Country Cluster along with Sandwell Primary Care Trust, NHS Walsall and Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust. Please click here for more information on Clusters across the West Midlands.
